A GENTLE PLACE TO LAND
YOUR FIVE-MINUTE START HERE

A little more
room in your head.

Domestic Circus brings everyday tasks, recurring life admin, and important links into one calm, private-on-your-device workspace.

✦

Start small. Open the hub, look at one next step, and let that be enough. This is a helper—not a guilt trip.

1

Extract, then open

Unzip the download first. Open Domestic-Circus.html in the latest desktop Chrome or Edge. It is one self-contained file: no install, account, subscription, or internet is needed for planner functions.

2

Make your hub yours

It starts with clearly marked sample items. Keep them as examples, delete them, or choose Start my hub in Backups & settings to clear samples and begin blank (after confirmation).

3

Choose one small next step

Your day shows overdue and coming-up items using the urgency window (default 7 days). Open Loops holds tasks—even ones with no date. Add category, due date, priority, estimated minutes, energy, and notes when useful.

4

Give repeating life a home

Recurring life tracks bills, renewals, and repeating tasks. Set a date and every N days, weeks, months, or years. Optional amounts are for tracking only: there is no bill paying, bank connection, automatic payment, or notification.

5

Keep “where is that?” findable

Where is that? stores a document name, category, where it is kept, and an optional review/renewal date. It stores names and links—not uploads or passwords, account numbers, passport details, or health numbers.

Good to know: external document links need internet. A hosted demo is not cloud sync. Due dates surface when you open the planner; they do not send reminders.

A QUICK TOUR OF YOUR HUB

Find the right little tool ✦

You do not need to set up every section today. Try the one that matches what is tugging at your attention.

Open Loops

Capture, filter (all, undated, today, next 7 days, overdue, completed), complete/reopen, and edit details anytime.

Rescue mode

Pick a short low-energy task and run the in-page 15-minute timer. It works only while the page is open—no alarm or notification.

Recurring life

Completing rolls the scheduled date forward one interval. Very overdue items can stay overdue; edit the date to fix an exception.

Backups & settings

Set workspace name, upcoming/urgency days, and display currency. Download or restore your complete hub.

A tiny check-in, once a weekNO CATCHING UP REQUIRED
2 MIN

Open Your day. Choose one overdue or coming-up item that would feel good to move.

4 MIN

Scan Open Loops. Add one missing task, adjust a date, or mark a finished thing complete.

4 MIN

Check Recurring life and Where is that? for a renewal, document, or small admin detail to review.

5 MIN

Download a backup, then close the hub. One small step counts.

Protect your little progress

Backups & settings → Download backup saves a JSON file containing your complete hub. Do this weekly—and before clearing, moving, or updating the file. Restore backup imports the complete saved hub and replaces the current hub after confirmation. Keep this personal file private.

Local means local. Keep the app in the same permanent folder and use the same browser and profile—not private mode. Saved data lives in browser localStorage on this device, not inside the HTML and not in a secure/encrypted vault. Clearing site data, changing profile/device, or moving/renaming the HTML can make it unavailable. Browser file policies vary; the app visibly reports save/storage errors. There is no cloud sync, background notification, or automatic reminder.
